Brooke Alex’s video for “Drunk” tells us you don’t need alcohol to have a good time.

The video takes places in a party setting, and uses glitter instead of alcohol. This metaphor speaks about how being in love at a party can make you feel more drunk than alcohol.

As the video continues, everyone in the party is clearly having a good time while drinking the “glitter.” As everyone gets more and more drunk from the glitter, people start hooking up with one another. This goes back to the lyrics, ”drunk, I think I’m in love.”

The video connects with the lyrics very well. Nowadays, music videos only show one connection (or zero connection) to the song. “Drunk,” however, has plenty of connections; and mostly, it shows the connection of not needing alcohol to be intoxicated when you can fall in love.
