These past two years have been a whirlwind for Grace Gaustad. Following her cover of Hozier’s “Take Me to Church,” she’s racked up more than three million streams on Spotify and 73,000 followers on YouTube. And her following continues to grow with the release of her debut EP “Human.”
Her most recent project: the music video for one of the EP’s songs, “Louder.” Grace sits against a dark blue wall, serenading the camera about a love gone horribly wrong. Her movements are stilted, as if she can barely contain her emotion. It’s a gorgeous, simple video that still packs a punch.
Grace is only 18 years old, but with how her songs describe the complexity of human emotions, she can easily be considered an old soul. For example: in “Louder,” she takes responsibility for her actions, even if it means losing someone important to her.
With gorgeous visuals, a unique voice, and a knack for writing vulnerable lyrics, it’s no surprise that her career is taking off at the speed of light. We look forward to hearing more!
