Selena Gomez is back and thriving – just check the charts.
Gomez just scored her first number one single on Billboard’s Top 100 with “Lose You to Love Me,” a song presumably referencing the end of her tumultuous on-off relationship with Justin Bieber. Critics raved about it; Michelle Ruiz from Vogue said “‘Lose You to Love Me’ is a highly catchy and searing ballad that deserves to immediately be added to everyone’s Empowering Breakup Songs playlist, right after Lizzo’s ‘Truth Hurts.'” The somber song was followed by “Look at Her Now,” an upbeat take on the end of a love affair. Safe to say, fans went wild when they realized their queen was back.
And, on top of her role as executive producer of 13 Reasons Why – the third season was released this past August – she was announced as the executive producer of Netflix series “Living Undocumented,” which tells the stories of eight undocumented families in the U.S.
Following a break from the spotlight, Gomez is back and ready to take over once again. Look at her now, indeed.
