The Girls Are O.K. – Miesha and The Spanks

Up and coming garage rock band Miesha and the Spanks was formed in 2008, and since then, Miesha Louis and Sean Hamilton have been known to empower women, with a Joan Jett and Runaways vibe. Their newest song, “The Girls Are O.K.,” is no exception.

The song was written while lead singer Miesha was working at a Girls Rock Camp, where she found inspiration after working with such brave and powerful women. She said, “they’re so brave and they already know they don’t have to take any bullshit in life.”

“The Girls Are O.K.” is the type of song that makes you feel empowered and proud to be a girl. While full of empowering lyrics and powerful combination of Hole and No Doubt, “The Girls Are O.K.” showcases an empowering message and tells us that despite the struggles we face, we will fight, and we’ll be okay.
