Harry Styles has much to be proud of. Starting out as a superstar in One Direction (at only 16!), Styles took over the world with the band, growing a massive fan base around the globe.

Then, One Direction chose to take a hiatus. Fans’ hearts broke when they heard the news. But Styles quickly put worries to rest of never hearing the young men sing again.

His solo, eponymous debut album, released in 2017, hit number one in many countries following the release of his heartfelt, six-minute-single “Sign of the Times.” It moved 230,000 album-equivalent units in the first week and has been certified platinum in the United States.

More recently, Styles was featured on the cover of Rolling Stone for the second time. When asked about the new album, he said “it’s all about having sex and feeling sad.” He also stressed the importance of being more vulnerable with his emotions and exploring topics such as masculinity, gender, and sexuality. As the author notes, Styles remains tight-lipped about much of his personal life, so it’s refreshing to witness the singer open up.

There hasn’t been an official announcement for the next album, but fans are heavily anticipating the new music from the rockstar.
