Miley Cyrus has a lot going for her right now. She released her EP “She is Coming” at the end of May, which spurred the anthem “Mother’s Daughter.” Then came a fire performance at Glastonbury, where the rocker brought the energy out – as well as her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Lil Nas X for a performance of “Old Town Road.”
Now, Miley is preparing for her next big release, her EP “She is Here.” She recently released her song “Slide Away,” which mourns a relationship that’s gone sour. It’s on the opposite end of the spectrum of “Mother’s Daughter” – rather than being in your face, a gentle Miley reflects on the downfall of a love. Somehow, though, it has the signature Miley feel – making her one of the most versatile singer-songwriters of this generation. The one thing we’ve learned: don’t mess with Miley – you never know what kind of song she’ll throw your way.
