Girls Behind the Rock Show

Helping advance the music industry one woman at a time.

Who We Are

GBTRS was founded on the principle of female empowerment within the music industry. We are dedicated to helping artists and bands drive  empowerment and diversity in productive and positive ways, and promoting these initiatives throughout the culture of the music scene.

Empower

We collaborate with musicians, labels, and more to spread the message of empowerment and inclusion of all genders in the music industry.

Create

We create opportunities for young women and non-binary people to learn the ropes of the music industry through initiatives like the Roadie for a Day program.

Educate

We educate and prepare the next generation of women and non-binary people in music through mentorship in our networking group of over 6,000 members.

The USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative reports that across 700 popular songs on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart from 2012-2018…
