EMPOWERING THE FUTURE OF THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
Girls Behind the Rock Show is dedicated to providing empowering and meaningful opportunities for people of marginalized genders pursuing a career in the music industry.

WHO WE ARE
GBTRS was founded on the principle of identifying and breaking down barriers for women and gender-nonconforming people in the music industry. We are dedicated to helping artists and bands drive empowerment and diversity in productive and positive ways, and promoting these initiatives throughout the culture of the music scene.
We believe that when everyone has a voice, opportunity flourishes. We empower education through the creation of programs to give people the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

WORDS FROM OUR COMMUNITY
“As a Roadie for a Day, I was able to help with various tasks and learn different aspects of what goes into a live event and the day-to-day process of tour production. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to step into the music world, outside of the classroom, as a beginner to gain insight and talk to professionals.”
“I was having a hard time finding industry work prior to this and had even debated taking another career path, but the Roadie for a Day program re-inspired me. It gave me an incredible learning experience that I would have never had the opportunity to partake in if it wasn’t for GBTRS. I cannot thank GBTRS and the Doll Skin crew enough for giving me such an amazing opportunity that has now helped me book other jobs.”
“Girls Behind the Rock Show has created a community of empowering women who are eager to offer advice, feedback, and answers to other women at all levels of experience in the industry. I know that no matter what situation I end up in, I have a network of kind, dependable women who can back me up and help me out.“
